Face Lift Surgery

Face Lift Surgery (Rhytidectomy)
More than any other procedure, it is the “face lift“ or rhytidectomy that has come to be associated with plastic surgery in most people’s mind. The face lift procedure has been performed by plastic surgeons since 1911. Face lifts have continued to evolve since then, as our understanding of the anatomy of the face has evolved. A face lift repositions the facial skin and fat to their natural place to eliminate folds and lines. Face lift surgery generally involves the neck, jowls, the cheeks, and temples. The forehead lift (brow lift) and eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) can be included as well. The result is a more youthful and restful appearance to the face.
