Every so often someone , somewhere, comes up with a name for something that cosmetic plastic surgeons already have been doing for years. That is exactly the case with “360 liposuction”.

360 liposuction is a new name for liposuction of the trunk. This includes liposuction of the upper abdomen, lower abdomen, and the flanks/hip area. In other words, the 360 degrees of your body!

360 liposuction takes between 2-2.5 hours or more, and can be combined with a BBL (Brazilian Buttock Lift) where the fat that has undergone liposuction is injected into the buttocks for a more shapely bum. You might also want to do an abdominal etching at that time to get the six pack ab look.

You will usually need 5-7 days of recovery time before being able to go back to work but no exercise is recommended for 2 weeks. You will be wearing a binder to help reduce your swelling for a few weeks. Lymphatic massage can also help you decrease swelling.

Final results may take about 2-4 months, however, after two weeks, you can already see a significant difference in your shape.

Of course, like all liposuctions, whether you are a good candidate or not for this cosmetic surgery depends on the quality of your skin. If you have skin that has lost its elasticity, is hanging or loose, then removal of the fat will make all that worse! If that’s the case, you may need a tummy tuck /abdominoplasty, meaning: you will get a 360 liposuction along with removal of the skin of the abdomen that is loose and a tightening of the muscles.

Eating healthy and exercising after your surgery will keep your new body the way you want it!
